General Election Pakistan 2013:
Well, it has been 5 years since The
Pakistan People’s Party was elected to govern this country. And now our country
is on its way to 14th general election that is going to be held on 11th
May, 2013. These days Pakistan’s every political party is preparing for election.
So you can easily get struck by a political demonstration at any corner of the city.
Security of the city is at great risk, it seems like caretaker government hasn’t
taken any precautions for any expectable mishap.
Political and Electoral System of Pakistan:
Unfortunately Pakistan has multi-party
political system. Hence, it makes impossible for one party to dominate in
results. Same is going to be happen this year because no party has prominent majority
in any province. Beside this the caste factor also plays a great role in it. Everybody
knows that Choudhry will vote for a Choudhry and Khan will vote for a Khan. On
the other hand Pakistan’s electoral system is very poor and outdated and also
people of Pakistan aren’t aware of the power of vote. People take this
important day as a common holiday. But, this year media is seems to be very
active to educate people about vote.
How to choose the right Candidate:
Choosing a right person as a governor
or a Prime Minister is a very serious matter. Every political party is spending
millions of rupees on publicity of their leaders; they are portraying them as
heroes and great leaders, but none of them qualifies such status. Our youth is
also very active on social media websites like Facebook and YouTube, they are
expressing their feelings very openly and sometimes very indecently because they
are too much confused and frustrated. It looks like the youth is more excited
than the elderly.
Two major political parties of Pakistan
has been elected for two times in past. Every Pakistani knows what they have
been doing to this country and to the whole nation. They may have done some
good things too that one can count on his fingers. Pakistan’s current economic
and industrial position is very bad; just because of the policies of past
governments.
Now we have a chance to make
everything right. We just have to choose a right candidate, who hasn’t been
tried before, who hasn’t done any kind of corruption and has a clean slate, an
educated and sincere person. This is the only way that can lead this country to
prosperity and progression.
